If you’re following my 2015 Photo-A-Day challenge (which I’ve renamed 2015 Photo Most Days) you’ve met Lucy, our Golden Retriever. Our toy poodle, Shadow, visited the groomer yesterday and came home feeling pretty good about himself. Shadow turns 10 years old this year. He is an odd little dog in many ways, and we love him. It took awhile, but we finally got him to stand still long enough to snap a quick photo.

Lucy, our Golden Retriever, turns 3 years old today. She is a great dog, offering ample love and affection. She’s also adopted some of Shadow’s OCD traits as she almost constantly seeks attention. That’s fine; we’re happy to give it. Happy Birthday, Lucy!
“Golden retrievers are not bred to be guard dogs, and considering the size of their hearts and their irrepressible joy in life, they are less likely to bite than to bark, less likely to bark than to lick a hand in greeting. In spite of their size, they think they are lap dogs, and in spite of being dogs, they think they are also human, and nearly every human they meet is judged to have the potential to be a boon companion who might, at many moment, cry, “Let’s go!” and lead them on a great adventure.” ~ Dean Koontz via goodreads.com
The last day of the 2015 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo is tomorrow. I’ve enjoyed my 4th year serving on the Safety Committee. “Western Professional” is the dress code for working the Show. Here I am, ready to head out earlier this year. Lucy snuck one last pat on the head as I prepared to leave.

“Western Professional” is the dress code when working at FWSSR. I like it.
P.S. Yes, I missed my Photo-A-Day post the last two days. Chalk it up to busy at work, stock show duties, and a rather nasty cold. Maybe I’ll change this category to “2015 Photo-Most-Days”!
