Texas BBQ is one of my favorite foods. Schoepf’s BBQ on Central Avenue in Belton, TX is the real deal. These pits turn out some delicious brisket, chicken, quail, and a variety of sausage options making Schoepf’s a great rest stop when traveling I-35. It’s fun to discover great local eateries when traveling.
Southern barbecue is the closest thing we have in the U.S. to Europe’s wines or cheeses; drive a hundred miles and the barbecue changes. ~ John Shelton Reed via BrainyQuote.com
The BBQ pits at Schoepf’s BBQ, Belton, TX
Texas BBQ is quite possibly the world’s perfect food, especially when well prepared. The folks at Red Barn BBQ in Colleyville offer consistently great BBQ in this fine atmosphere. After spending just over an hour and a half at our local vacuum store, we rewarded ourselves with a late, but delectable, BBQ lunch. Don’t let the empty dining room fool you – this was about 3PM.
“You’ve got to smell it, and get your fingers burned, and shed a few tears over it, and everything else to get it right. That’s the way I look at it.” – C.B. Stubblefield via TexasBob.com
When you eat lunch at 3PM you have the place to yourself. This is one of my favorite BBQ spots in DFW.
